What’s up girlypops!
There’s two days left in our No-Spend Challenge, and we are feeling good!
Whether you had a perfect streak this month, or stumbled a few times, it’s important that we celebrate our accomplishments and reflect on our habits.
Baby steps, my friends.
Right now, we need to come up with a plan so that the habits we built (and the ones we broke!) will continue to serve us moving forward.
Today, we’re sharing a few prompts for you to lean into so that the path to financial wellness in 2025 holds strong!
💯 Make the Most of the No-Spend Challenge: Four Steps to Change
1. Identify pain points over the last month. 🔍 What was hard not to spend on? Was it a latte? Extra groceries? Hobby items? Discovering where it was most difficult to hold back is key to identifying your values. For example, if you missed impulse spending on craft items, it could mean that creativity is something that you value! Once you find the core value behind the $$$, you can identify ways to save or budget around this higher need.
2. Reflect on your budget and your 90-day transaction inventory. 🗂️ What was easy to give up? If it’s something you can strike from your budget, do it! You can always go back and add in line items, but it’s far easier to subtract than it is to add!
3. Choose one thing to work on for the next few months while you continue to build good habits. Prioritizing one thing allows for focused effort and increased commitment, which can make a BIG difference in our financial goals.
✨ Bonus: Try to work on an area that will make a significant impact in your finances, like housing, transportation, or food! Refining these areas in our budget gives us the biggest results for the least amount of effort. 80/20 principle, how we love thee.
4. Grow your savings! Yes, I’m shouting that. This is the final and most important step to maximize our NSC results! Now that there’s wiggle room in our pockets, we need to make sure our money is continuing to work for us. We can do this by putting it into a high-yield savings account. Our favorite is at CIT, which has a bomb 💣 APY that’s sure to help your finances flourish. **

Spending is a skill and you can learn to master it. If you’ve ever struggled with being unable to stick to a budget or felt guilty about spending on something you enjoy, Jen and Jill’s debut book is going to be your next favorite read.
Warmly,
Kim
