Coffee Makers: Your Guide to Buying the Best

Mornin’ friends!

Did you know that over one billion people drink coffee every day worldwide?

According to this survey, almost ¾ of Americans consume coffee daily, and out of that number, only ⅔ drink coffee that was made at home.

That’s a whole lotta joe!

Most people would say that they’re full on coffee-obsessed – and we don’t disagree!

Who wouldn’t enjoy a jolt of wakefulness on a Monday morning when you can barely type “let’s circle back tomorrow” with one eye cracked open.

HOWEVER, we still encourage frugal living, and making coffee at home is a sustainable & cost-effective practice.

To help you reach coffee nirvana at home, we’ve done some research below!

Coffee Makers: The Breakdown

1. Drip-Coffee. A drip-coffee maker operates by “dripping” water through a heating tube, which pours over coffee grounds. The liquid then goes through a filter & comes out as a piping hot cup of coffee. What makes the drip-coffee maker so desirable is that it often has a lighter, cleaner taste & a fully programmable touch screen. Check out this CuisneArt brewer, which even allows you to choose the brew flow!

2. Single-Serve. A single-serve machine has it all in the name! This is great for a solo household or tiny living. We found this amazing Keurig that can serve pods, cappuccinos, and lattes for those days when you’re craving Starbies, but you know you need to stay home 😉

3. Cold-Brew. Are you a true coffee connoisseur? Then a cold brew machine is for you! Cold brew is usually steeped 8-24 hours & results in a rich flavor. Once the coffee is made, it’s usually served chilled over ice. This cold brew machine is great for those hot summer days when you need a pick-me-up.

4. French Press. The French press uses immersion brewing techniques (steeping the coffee in hot water) to make coffee with a full flavor. It’s quick, efficient, and can double to steep loose leaf tea as well. We ❤️ this French press because it has amazing reviews & is dishwasher safe! Go from zero to caffeinated ASAP!

5. Pods. Ah, the pods. Popularized by Keurig, pod machines are as simple as 1-2-3. While true coffee aficionado’s wouldn’t prefer this method, this is a great choice for a busy mom on the go, or a young professional running between meetings! Though it might not have the most authentic coffee taste, there’s nothing that beats this coffee maker for convenience.

6. Coffee-Grinder. This is the oldest form of making coffee, and it’s still the freshest. Coffee beans that are split stale after 30 minutes, whereas whole, roasted beans stay fresh for several weeks! If you like a hard-earned cup o’ joe, this grinder is your machine.

What did you think? Are you ready to ditch your old coffee pot & try something new? We sure are! (Cold-brew, here we come).
